A Telehealth Psychiatrist Across Florida
See a Psychiatrist From Home With Telepsychiatry in Florida
Getting to an appointment can be hard when you live far away, work long hours, or don’t feel up to the drive. Telepsychiatry lets you meet with a psychiatrist by telehealth from a place that’s comfortable for you. Sea Breeze Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to people who live in Florida, so you don’t have to travel to our office. It can be easier to start care when you don’t need to arrange a ride or take time off work to get there.
You can see Dr. Larry De Lay, who is board certified in psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He also treats patients in person in Miramar Beach. You can also see Sarah Miller, a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), who sees patients by telehealth only. Dr. De Lay can prescribe by telehealth, and an in-person visit isn’t needed to get started.
If you’re ready to meet with an online psychiatrist in Florida, request an appointment and our team will help you get set up.

Care That Fits Your Schedule and Your Home
How Telepsychiatry Works at Sea Breeze Psychiatry
Who Telepsychiatry Works For
Telepsychiatry works well for adults who live in Florida and want care without the drive. That may be you if you live far from Miramar Beach, have a busy schedule, or find it easier to open up at home.
It’s open to anyone 18 and older who lives in Florida, whether you’re looking for a first psychiatric evaluation or ongoing medication management. It can also suit you if you’d like to talk with your provider from a familiar space. Telehealth visits aren’t available to people who live outside the state. If you’d rather meet face to face, you can visit our Miramar Beach office instead.
What a Telepsychiatry Visit Looks Like
The American Psychiatric Association describes video-based telemedicine as a validated and effective practice that increases access to care(opens in a new tab). A telehealth visit can cover the same kinds of care as an office visit, and it follows the same patient-first approach.
You can get ready in a few steps:
- Request an appointment: Choose telehealth when you reach out to our team.
- Finish your forms early: Please finish your forms at least 24 hours before your visit so your appointment can go ahead. They include the Informed Consent for Telehealth Services, which explains how your information is recorded, kept, and shared during virtual visits.
- Pick a private spot: Choose a quiet place where you can talk openly.
- Watch the clock: Our appointments run on Central Time (CT), which is one hour behind Eastern Time. Most of Florida is on Eastern Time, so double-check your start time.
Our What to Expect page walks through the full new-patient checklist.
Privacy, Comfort, and Safety During Your Visit
To help you feel at ease, pick a room where others can’t overhear you, and use a private internet connection when you can. If you’d like to sit somewhere comfortable and keep a notepad nearby, that’s fine, too.
Telehealth visits aren’t for emergencies. If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), or call 911 for an emergency.
Cost and Insurance for Telehealth Visits
The cost of a telehealth visit depends on your insurance plan, whether we’re in network with it, and the type of visit. Plans can treat telehealth differently, so it’s a good idea to ask yours about telehealth coverage before your visit.
Our Insurance & Fees page lists the plans we accept and explains payment options, including how to keep a card on file. You can also call our office at (850) 407-2095, and our team will go over your questions with you.
Providers Who See Patients by Telehealth
Dr. De Lay sees patients both in person and by telehealth. That means your care can stay with one practice whether you visit Miramar Beach or log on from home. He is a psychiatrist, which means a medical doctor who specializes in mental health. He also offers brief psychotherapy, a short course of talk therapy, on request.
Sarah Miller is a nurse practitioner with a focus on psychiatric and mental health care. She sees patients by telehealth only, and you can read her provider page before you book.
Our practice is accepting new patients, and whichever provider you choose, you’ll find a warm, patient-first team that listens before it recommends.
